[TIME CODES IN DESCRIPTION] This is a solo demonstration of a Scout Build using the Update 34 Buffed HIPSTER overclock for the M1000 Auto Rifle and the JUMBO SHELLS overclock for the Boomstick. Why is this demo run so long? BECAUSE THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST HELLACIOUS SOLO HAZ 5s I'VE EVER COMPLETED. Constant, non-stop swarms. Grabbers, Acid Spitters, Web Spitters, Menaces, Oppressors, Praetorians. The shit just doesn't stop in this. Thank God for the abundance of Nitra because I had to run through almost a full supply drop before it calmed down enough to start pulling eggs.
HIPSTER: I did a pre U34 Hipster video (Hipster OC and Pheromone Cannister-preU34) and while it was a fun overclock to use for the M1000, the demonstration wasn't very impressive and showed off the supreme weakness of it before the update, it had sub-par damage stats. You couldn't even one-shot a loot bug with a focused shot with it. Enter Update 34 weapon rebalancing and a massive damage buff to the HIPSTER and HO-LEE-SHIT! This is an overclock to be reckoned with now. You can finally one shot grunts in the face, still take out your priority targets much more easily, and even if the focus damage isn't phenomenal you have so much ammo that you can just pull shot after shot off so quick that you even damage large enemies quick. All I can say is that is as thick as the swarms got in this solo Haz 5, thank goodness I had it. I can't recommend this Overclock enough if you have it in your forge waiting for you or as soon as you get it in a Matrix Core Drop.
JUMBO SHELLS: This gives you a substantial damage boost to your Boomstick at the expense of a rather hefty hit to your ammo count. A very sound damage build can benefit with this OC, but in honestly I don't like it quite as well as STUFFED SHELLS (video for that one forthcoming in a few weeks). With JUMBO my biggest problem with it is that I constantly felt low on Ammo and couldn't rely on it consistently in up close battling because of that, so it was a tough balance on making quick weapons decisions between the quick fire/seemingly endless ammo on my M1K and just taking the great damage from Jumbo. Still a solid choice. I took one ammo boost mod at the expense of some damage and the balance, at least on this build, never quite screamed perfect for me. Overall though arguably a better choice than a plain non-OCd Boomstick. Since I'm still a Special Powder Boomstick player at heart it's hard for me to say ANY OC for the Boomstick outweighs the benefits of Powder.
In the end, enjoy the chaos of this one. It was truly a test through dense swarms in the dark hell of Azure Weald.
