This is a solo demonstration of what I call "ALWAYS GOOD" good overclocks. This time the two clean overclocks for Gunner, SPLINTERING SHELLS for the Thunder Head Autocannon and COMPOSITE CASINGS for the BRT7 Burst Fire Gun.
SPLINTERING SHELLS: This clean overclock increases area damage as well as the area of effect. Basically, the same good Autocannon with just more power. If you like the Thunder Head because you like watching your shots land causing groups of enemies to fly apart, this is the way to do it. In this build I took more ammo in Tier 1, but honestly, the better choice may be higher damage. I'm always ammo conscious with the AC, but at least in this run it was no problem, but I do find that taking Rate of fire mods in tiers 2 and 3 (Reach Max ROF faster and Raw Higher ROF) is a good trade off for damage since you do go through ammo faster with the higher rate. With the Autocannon, firing and killing faster does tend to help compensate for the limited mobility you have while using the weapon. On tiers 4 and 5 I simply took even greater splash damage (becuase, why not?) and my personal favorite Fear because it's another mod I like due to the mobility issues with Autocannon.
COMPOSITE CASINGS: Another clean overclock simply gives you more ammo and a faster rate of fire. Again, standard BRT7, just better. With BRT, I always like improved accuracy, so I took more accuracy and less recoil on tiers 1 and 2. On tiers 3 and 4 I bumped damage and ammo. And of course, the powerful stun effect of the BRT inb tier 5, which in this build gives you four seconds.
So, nothing fancy. No downsides, basically a couple of overclocks you can never go wrong with if you're ever in a quandry of which overclock you want to go with no matter what mission type, biome or hazard level.
