SCOUT: Hover Clock & Compact Shells | Clean Overclocks

Two clean overclocks for Scout are shown in this short demonstration: HOVER CLOCK for the M1000 and COMPACT SHELLS for the Boomstick. Both add just a bit to the those that are fine with the plain weapons but want just a little extra. In one case more mobility and the other more bullets.

HOVER CLOCK for the M1K gives the Scout another combat mobility option: you hover in mid air when holding a focused shot with M1K for several seconds very slowly descend. This is a popular overclock but in no way replaces SPECIAL POWDER for the Boomstick. You CAN avoid taking fall damage with HOVERCLOCK, but if your hover time runs out while you're still in mid-air, you're going to take the damage you normally would falling from the height that you are at the time. And obviously this does not allow you to propel yourself like POWDER. This is great for getting your feet off the ground when focusing a shot as wells grappling above targets and going in for a weakpoint hit from a above. It's fun to use, but in every day game play its utility is a little limited, which is fine because it's a clean OC that has no downsides, so if you find it useful enough to incorporate in to your regular play style I'm sure you will eventually find some wickedly good rhythms for becoming a pro with it. I built this out with +Damage, Faster Focus Speed and +Focus Shot Damage on tiers 1-3 along with weak point damage and "focus shot staggers target on the tiers 4 and 5. In the end, there's something just ultimately grappling up above your enemies and stopping mid air to land a weak point hit - I especially love doing it to Mactera. In this demo there a few really good hover shots. It should also be noted that in addition to combat mobility, you can kind of use the feature for kind Aero-Breaking manuevers to slow or stop momentum.

COMPACT SHELLS for Boomstick is a straight up More Ammo and Faster Reload OC and you can never go wrong with that combo in any weapon. While I do gravitate toward some of the other Shells based OCs as well as SPECIAL POWDER for obvious reasons, this is a fine, solid overclock at all haz levels. I built it here with +Damage, Faster Reload and High Capacity Shells (more pellets/dmg potential) on tiers 1-3 along with my go to Blastwave (for AOE) and Fear Mods on tiers 4 and 5.

Overall, are these overclocks I take in to every day play? No. Are these overclocks I COULD take in to every day play at any Haz level without concerns. Absolutely. Hoverclock can have great utility for any player, but it's really going to shine for those with quick reaction/above average accuracy skills.
