ENGINEER: Hyper Propellant In a Haz 5 Elimination

This showcases the HYPER PROPELLANT Overclock on a solo Elimination mission with the engineer in the dreaded Magma Core biome. Hyper Propellant turns your PGL into a high velocity torpedo launcher that does massive damage to the target it hits at the cost of ammo and AOE.


The huge downsides are the huge ammo hit you take for carrying it and more importantly it makes it completely ineffective against everything but large targets. Swarms of grunts will eat you alive if you aren't equipping a good light weapon in your build that you can hold your own with when medium to small enemies descend on you. Fortunately, the Engi has turrets and mines in his arsenal that can also compensate for the loss of a heavy weapon in swarm city. In this case, the Stubby Voltaic is a good choice because of it's lasting electric effects and stun potential.


On this mission I just wanted to make quick work of the Dreadnoughts and finish. I toyed with completing the fester flea secondary, but I could hear a breeder groaning through the walls, short on a second supply drop and I didn't want to ruin a run with no downs going after a couple of fleas.
