ENGINEER: Electrical Engineer Build | High Voltage Crossover | Turret EM Discharge

[TIME CODES IN DESCRIPTION] How to be an Electrical Engineer without going to trade school! This is a Haz 5 solo demonstration of going with a full electric build for the Engineer Using the HIGH VOLTAGE CROSSOVER overclock for the Breach Cutter, the TURRET EM DISCHARGE overclock for the Stubby SMG (with Electric on mod Tiers 4 and 5) and Electric Bullets for Bosco (which is actually my "go to" choice with Bosco for all builds). Are there better Engineer builds than this? Probably, but this one is so damned fun to play!

HIGH VOLTAGE CROSSOVER electrocutes all targets at the cost of magazine capacity. However, taking stun on your tier mods coupled with electric really makes this OC shine as you watch your prey stop in it's track and suffer from the electricity. One of the key components of the build demonstrated is that even when pushed, the seemingly small benefit of slowing down your targets is critical

TURRET EM DISCHARGE for the Stubby will cause your turrets to produce an electrical explosion of a few seconds when you shoot them with the Stubby in the right spot, both the stopping power and damage it does is really good. Not particularly special before Update 34 in April, but since they've expanded the range and reduced friendly damage this overclock is shockingly good in the right circumstances. It can be a bit tricky to get just the right shot on the turrets, but when you do they really pack a wallop on the bugs big, small, or even flying if they're close enough. It also has the MASSIVE advantage of making your turrets invaluable even when their ammo is dry as long as you have Stubby ammo, because it doesn't require the turrets to have rounds in them.

WARNING: I took kind of a non optimal turret build for this with the Defender focused scan angle on dual turrets instead of Hawkeye. The reason that this generally would not be considered ideal is that when using Defender, putting the turrets backs to the wall is generally best practice to maximize it's sub-180 degree coverage area while EM Discharge shines when turrets are in fully clear areas. However, I just can't stand Hawkeye with gemini builds because they eat through ammo just too fast, so I compromised optimal Defender turret placement for best location to use EM Discharge.

BOSCO: Electric Bullets on Bosco's last tier are generally my recommendation across the board because they slow the enemies.

Overall, this build really lights the place up when shit hits the fan, there's just something very very satisfying about having all your weaponry causing your foes to light up with electricity stunned and crippled. I highly recommend playing around with some of these ideas and see if you can find a build that fits you. I know the High Voltage OC isn't really a favorite in the community, but it's still definitely viable at all Haz levels so don't be deterred if you see a lot of "meh" response to it in forums.
