ENGINEER: Clean Sweep and Stunner OCs | "Always Good"

[TIME CODES IN DESCRIPTION] There are a handful of "Go To / Always Good" Overclocks in this game you can never go wrong with, usually Clean Overclocks. This is a Haz 5 solo demonstration of the two most basic "Always Good" ones for Engineer that serve you in any situation, mission type or Hazard level: CLEAN SWEEP for the Deepcore 40ML PGL (grenade launcher) and STUNNER for the Warthog Auto 210 combat shotgun.

CLEAN SWEEP for the Deepcore 40ML Grenade Launcher has no downsides and just takes your standard PGL and gives your explosions more Area of Effect and boost the damage within that Area of Effect. I always go back and forth between this and the Pack Rat OC that just simply gives you a bit more ammo, but the critical difference with Clean Sweep is the tremendous damage it does to Mactera swarms when paired with Proximity Trigger in Tier 5 (as it is in this demo). Pack Rat functions the same, but more damage and a wider blast effect helps with the flying scumbags even better. There are several times in this demonstration where my turrets weren't getting the job done on the Mactera fast enough and I was a sitting duck trying to use the Warthog against them, so it was PGL time for everything with wings.

STUNNER for the Warthog Auto shotgun just plain gives you 10% stun chance per pellet that hits your target and the effect lasts 3 seconds. Is it world changing? Not particularly, but in the grand scheme of things it saves you tons of damage when that first shot to the face doesn't take the smaller enemies down by immobilizing them. This paired with the stun effects from your turrets (and in solo, electric bullets from Bosco) really helps impede swarms all over you.

Overall, if you're a newer Engineer just scoring one of these overclocks or just can't figure out just what the right OC to take into a mission or a dive, neither of these is EVER the "wrong" answer, just good Clean Overclocks that are always solid.
